How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell is a very touching story. The movie of this book does a very good job in the animation. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is not a typical Viking that wants to fight every dragon it sees. He is smart, thin, and kind hearted. He learns to understand the dragon and why they attack the viking land.
Hiccup is a character of intelligence who thinks throughly before acting. He never gives up even to the very end of the movie when his father and the town took his Toothless away from him. Toothless is a Night Fury, who moves at a speed of light. He is the only Night Fury mentioned in the movie. Hiccup and Toothless, both learned to trust each other, which help bond a friendship between them just like any human and their pets. They learn to protect each other, for example Hiccup saids" Astrid, if something goes wrong, just make sure they don’t find Toothless." This quote shows Hiccup's care for Toothless, even though he knows that he may die. Toothless with a broken tail wing, he still runs and tries to fly to save Hiccup. This shows how strong their bond is, even at the end of the story where Toothless was taken away and locked up the the towns people and Hiccup's father. They try to save each other at the most dangerous moments.
How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell is a great book showing how two different creatures can create a very strong bond. This book shows how a thin, weak, nerdy kid can train and ride a dragon no one in the Viking history has ever done. Cowell does really well in showing courage and trust in this book. This book reminds me of my dog. I learned to train and trust my dog, just like Hiccup and Toothless.

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets
I can't believe I actually like this movie. I have always refused to watch Harry Potter movies, because they seem weird. I'm glad we watched this movie, because I actually enjoyed it. The one thing I don't like about the movie was all the spiders. OMG...it's like a nightmare came alive. Scary. Another part of the movie I dislike was when Ron tried to make the spell "eat snails" on Draco but backfired back to Ron. I thought that was nasty. I think the toilet girl ghost is annoying. She is very dramatic and whinny. I find it annoying how Harry Potter stays calm in most occasions verses Ron, who freaks out or act without thinking. Overall, I liked the movie and I think I might actually watch the whole series or maybe the recent ones.

Anti My Hero Story
Hero: Lily (reincarnation of Mei Gui)
Villain: Demon God
Master Teacher: Mei Gui (means rose in Chinese)
Setting: Modern World time travel to Ancient China
Plot:
Lily is a college straight A student who lives with her father. Her father is a scientist who studies ancient Chinese antiques. One day he brought home a time traveling wheel that has ten jades aligned in a circle on the wheel and a wood carved doll necklace. He gives the necklace to Lily, telling her that the necklace will bring her good luck and protect her. Lily wears the necklace and she starts to notice that she has been having weird dreams of someone that looks like her but is wearing Hanfu (Chinese silk robe). Lily becomes curious about the time traveling wheel and starts to spin the wheel, and as soon as the wheel starts spending, her doll necklace flash a bright light and she's gone.
Lily wakes up and noticed that she's in a strange ancient place. Around her was a hybrid human dragon (Wind); he looks at her furiously. She doesn't understand what is happen. She try to ask him why he is mad at her, but he ignored her and ran out the door. Lily walks outside and saw beautiful garden. Than there was a well dressed guy in Hanfu. He came up to her and grabbed her hand in excitement, saying "Mei Gui, you finally came back to We (refers to we as in the country because he is the king)!" Lily was shocked and scared; she yanked back and ran behind the garden and into a small temple room. She turned around and saw a glow of light and than Goddess Nuwa (creator of mankind) appeared. "Lily, I see you have arrived safely" said Goddess Nuwa. Lily was confused to why she would say that. "I have a mission for you to complete, and your reward would be to be able to return home" said Goddess Nuwa.
After Lily received her mission, she went back to the room she came from. He was in there again, but his time his was calm. "
Who are you" said Lily.
"Who am I?! What the heck? It's only been 40 years since we last seen each other, how can you forget me?!" said Wind.
"Huh? What are you talking about, I never met you before".
"Fine! I'm Wind."
"I'm Lily"
"Lily? Did you change your name Mei Gui? Are you messing with me?"
"What? I'm Lily, I'm from the modern world, very different from this world. I time traveled on accident, and I can't go home because Goddess Nuwa said accomplish my mission here before I can go back to my world".
"What?! So you look like Mei Gui, but you're not Mei Gui. How can two people look so much alike?"
"By the way, who is this Mei Gui? Does she really look like me? Why are you so mad at her anyways?"
"Mei Gui is one of Goddess Nuwa's apprentice, she was beautiful and intelligent. You look exactly like her expect you are dressed in weird clothes and she's in beautiful Hanfu, and you are dumb. Haha."
"Urgh you!"
"Calm down, I was just kidding. Anyways, I am mad at her for betraying me. She said be with me forever, but than she turned around and help that useless Emperor to beat me. But I don't understand why she would do such thing."
"I'm sorry, maybe she was forced to do so or there were misunderstandings?"
"Oh well, it doesn't matter anymore. So what is your mission?"
"I have to kill the Demon God, but that's a ridiculous mission. How am I, a normal human being, going to kill a Demon?!"
"Here", he handed her Mei Gui's magical flute. "This can help you, if you know how to use it."

Plot:
Lily is a college straight A student who lives with her father. She travels back to ancient time by a antique wheel and necklace found by her father. She met Wind (hybrid human dragon), who hates her because he thinks she is Mei Gui. Mei Gui and Wind used to be lovers, but there was misunderstanding between them that caused a war between them that killed Mei Gui. The Goddess Nuwa (creator of mankind) acknowledge Lily's arrive and meets her and gave her her mission. The mission is she must kill the Demon God before she can go back to her world. Godness Nuwa sends Lily and Wind together to go find Mei Gui, who died 40 years ago, to help them on their mission. When Mei Gui and Lily meets, they realized that they are the same person but in a different world. Mei Gui came back alive by accident, but she does not have a soul, which means she is half alive. The three of them traveled a long journey to the Demon God's island, but while they traveled they encountered different demons and learned to work together to fight the demons. Over time Lily fell in love with Wind, but doesn't realize it, and same goes for Wind. Mei Gui was jealous, but she cannot do anything since she is a soulless person. Mei Gui started teaching Lily magical power the doll necklace has that can protect her, since the doll necklace used to be Mei Gui's. When they finally arrive to the Demon God's island, Mei Gui started getting weaker. For many years the Demon God likes Mei Gui, and some other guys like her too because of her beauty and intelligence. Mei Gui can increase her power by combining her body and Lily's soul. Lily agrees to become one, and they fight the Demon God. Wind tried to help but his body is weak in the Demon God's island. After the long battle, Mei Gui and Lily finally kill the Demon God, but Mei Gui once again died into pieces of rose petals. Wind was very upset, because they used to be lovers, but he is glad that he still has Lily. The mission is over and the Goddess of Nuwa grant her to go back to her world, even though that is no longer what Lily wishes. She wants to be with Wind forever, but cannot since they are from different worlds. Lily returns back to her world....and soon she realize that she has a baby.
Explanation:
The hero Lily is a anti-hero because she is a human and she is not a pure perfect hero. She leaves herself in the state of pregnancy with an hybrid human dragon, who is from the ancient world. She lets her emotions take over her.
This story is inspired by the Chinese drama Holy Pearl and the Japanese manga Inuyasha.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
This movie surprised me, because I've always thought Lord of the Rings was a creepy movie. I think this movie was pretty good and funny. I was surprised by the part where Eowyn stood up to fight the Witch King, because she's a woman, and woman are not suppose to do such thing. They are supposed to be afraid of weird creatures. The Hobbits are cute and tiny verses the Uruks, which are really ugly. They are just so ugly that you just can't stop looking at them. I think the character Gollum / Smeagol is very annoying and ugly. He gives me the chills just by looking at him. He is defiantly evil.

Alice in Wonderland
I really liked the movie Alice in Wonderland, because it made me feel like a kid again. I like the special effects of the part where Alice falls into the hole. The part I dislike the most in the movie was when Alice was fighting the dragon. That part was weird and nasty. I think it's weird how Alice can drink the different liquid in the movie without even asking what the drink was. The nastiest drink she drank was the one the White Queen made and the dragon blood. Eww.
I didn't really like the actress acting Alice, she seemed unsuitable for that character. I think her butt chin is annoying. I like the character Mad Hatter; I think Johnny Depp did a good job in acting that character. I like how his facial expression changes so fast.

A Christmas Carol
I thought A Christmas Carol was okay. I like the fact that we had the audio reading in class instead of individual readings because the sound effects of the audio helped give a better visual of the characters. One thing I did not like about having a audio reading is that it's hard to follow the story because there are less concentration to the audio. There were times during the audio reading that I would doze off to thinking something else. I wished that we watch the movie in class, because it would be more fun comparing the audio to the movie.
Frankenstein
I thought the Young Frankenstein movie is better than the original Frankenstein movie. The original Frankenstein movie clip we watched in class was quite disgusting , because the scars on the creature's face seems to not be heal-able. Also, the woman creature that was created in the movie, by putting together parts of Justine and Elizabeth, was nasty because the woman look horrible.
I like the Young Frankenstein movie from class because it was more of a comedy than a horror movie. I thought the assistance Inga was funny because she seems to have something else in mind whenever Victor ask her to do something. Also, I like the ending where the creature and Victor traded some traits and that Elizabeth ended up with the creature instead of Victor.
